Taylor Swift Party Food

I LOVE a good party theme, and one of my favorite ways to take a theme to the extreme is with the party food. Play on words are my jam so getting creative with food names and recipes is so much fun for me. My sister-in-law (shout out to Kristy) found several of these food + song ideas for my nieces T Swift party so I “borrowed” those ideas and added some of my own.

I purchased these customizable Taylor Swift food cards from MissQueeniesSoiree Etsy Shop. They were very easy to edit in Canva so I was able to add the song/food names to each card and then print them out on my printer. Then just cut and fold and place them in front of each dish!

Here is a complete list of all of the party food/drinks that we featured at the twins’ recent Taylor Swift themed 8th birthday party:

Getaway Carbs

“Getaway Carbs” AKA Getaway Car (Reputation). One of my favorite carbs is pizza so we ordered six pizzas as one of the main dishes for our party!

Meatball Me at Midnight

“Meatball Me at Midnight” AKA Meat Me at Midnight (Midnights). This is your classic crockpot meatball dip. Basically you just add meatballs, chili sauce and grape jelly to the crockpot and heat it up! I am not a meatball fan (something about a ball of meat creeps me out so I do not partake).

Recipe:

  • Frozen Italian meatballs
  • 1 jar Heinz chili sauce
  • Grape jelly

Place all ingredients in crockpot on high for two hours and enjoy!

The Berry First Night

“The Berry First Night” – The Very First Night (Red). This one is a kid favorite – a berry salad! Just mix together strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.

Charcu-TAY-rie Board

This one is not a song but I think the “pun” is pretty obvious. I love making food boards of all kinds. Charcuterie, dessert boards, candy boards, dip boards….you name it, I love it. For this specific board, I did a combo of meats (prosciutto & genoa salami) & cheeses (cheddar, pepper jack and colby jack), grapes, cucumbers, sliced apples, caramel dip, M&Ms, and a soft cheese dip. I set it up very quickly but I think it turned out great!

Ever S’more

“Ever S’more” – Evermore (Evermore). This dessert was HEAVENLY. But be really careful when broiling the marshmallows. I may have burnt them the first time I made it, LOL. I used this s’mores brownie bars recipe from Baking You Happier.

Mildest Dreams

“Mildest Dreams” – Wildest Dreams (1989). A double dose of mild with guacamole, salsa and tortilla chips!

Brie Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together

“Brie Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together” – We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together (Red). This was a whipped brie dish from Cooking Like Kate served with crackers!

But Daddy I Love Chips

“But Daddy I Love Chips” – But Daddy I Love Him (The Tortured Poets Department). One of my favorite easy party snacks – potato chips and French Onion Dip.

Cake Now

“Cake Now” – Speak Now (Speak Now). I think this speaks for itself….it was the cake! I made a 3-layer white cake (that I dyed pink) with purple frosting and sprinkles. For chocolate lovers I made some chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting!

Lavender Haze

“Lavender Haze” – Lavender Haze (Midnights). Did you know Amazon sells Lavender Lemonade? Neither did I. I owe the credit for this one to my sister-in-law as well. I mixed this up with water and a little extra lemon and put it in a drink dispenser for the kids and/or adults!

Look What You Made Me Juice

“Look What You Made Me Juice” – Look What You Made Me Do (Reputation). Just juice boxes.

Champagne Problems

“Champagne Problems” – Champagne Problems (Evermore). We had a few bottles of champagne for the adults because sometimes you just need a good drink to get through a party with close to twenty kids age 4-10.

We also had some Chic-fil-a nuggets. Taylor’s favorite food is chicken fingers but these nuggs are a staple at all of our birthday parties.

Per usual, I had WAY too much food (I even cut down from 10 to 6 pizzas and we still have like 3.5 in our refrigerator) but at least I wont have to cook for a couple of days. The kids and the adults were all well-fed.

These are some great options. Love the brie idea especially. 🙂
