Michael Jackson Birthday Party Favors & Game Prizes

For Lennon and Rowe’s Michael Jackson-themed 10th birthday party, I wanted the favors to feel connected to the theme rather than just being a bag of random toys.

We incorporated some of the activities into the favors, so the girls actually made part of their own take-home gifts during the party.

Decorated Vinyl Records

The girls each decorated their own vinyl record during the party.

Not only was it a fun activity, but it also became a keepsake they could take home.

It was one of my favorite party favor ideas because it doubled as entertainment during the party and a personalized souvenir afterward.

Decorated White Gloves

The same thing went for the white gloves.

Each guest decorated her own Michael Jackson-inspired glove and then got to take it home.

The girls wore them during the dancing and games, so they became part of the party experience instead of just another favor.

VIP Party Passes

We also created VIP party pass lanyards for each guest.

The passes were designed to look like little VIP credentials, which was such a fun way to make the girls feel like they were attending their own exclusive Michael Jackson concert.

They wore them during the party and got to take them home afterward.

Plastic Microphones

Every guest also received a plastic microphone, which was perfect for the music and performance theme.

Naturally, the microphones came in handy during the singing and dancing — and I’m pretty sure there were a few impromptu performances happening throughout the night!

Game Winner Prizes

For the game winners, we put together a collection of fun little prizes from Five Below.

Some of the prizes included:

● Face masks

● Under-eye masks

● Nail polish

● Fake nails

● Hand sanitizer

● Other fun beauty and self-care items

The girls got to choose prizes after winning competitions like Best Moonwalk, Best Hee-Hee, Best Performance, and Name That Michael Jackson Tune.

It was an easy and affordable way to make the games feel a little more exciting.

Party Favors That Fit the Theme

Between the decorated records, white gloves, VIP passes, and microphones, the girls went home with favors that actually connected back to the party.

And I loved that several of the favors were things they had created or used during the celebration.

It made the favors feel more personal — and gave everyone a little reminder of their night of music, dancing, and Michael Jackson-inspired fun.
