Peace, Love, Party Birthday

I just threw the grooviest Peace, Love, Party birthday celebration for my girls’ 5th birthday. This was a peace sign toting, hippie at heart’s dream come true. I included everything from smiley faces to daisies and peace signs and even came up with a little rhyme to tie the theme into the girls’ age: Bring the good vibes, Rowe & Leni are 5!

Here are the details so you can throw your very own flower power bash:

Invitation

I created this invitation in Canva, per usual. I designed the daisy peace sign as a separate graphic, and then added it in to the invitation design template. I’m so happy with how it turned out. I just save as a PNG file and text it to family and friends. That way, no money on stamps!

Outfits

Are these not the cutest bell bottoms? I got the girls’ pants from Bailey’s Blossoms (with a bunch of other cute stuff) and my mom made their shirts with her Cricut. I even bought myself a new daisy skirt from Shein!

Banner & Pennants

My mom made this happy birthday banner based on something I found on Etsy and the little pennant flag banner I believe I saw on Pinterest.

I love the little details like the VW bugs, peace signs, smileys and rainbows. The flags had cute, themed phrases like Groovy, Flower Power and Be Kind.

Cake & Cake Topper

Per usual, my mom made this awesome cake topper with her Cricut, and I made the cake using a couple boxes of Pilsbury Funfetti cake mix (dyed pink with food coloring), and frosted with yellow frosting. To top it all of I added some sparkle with an adorable flower sprinkle mix.

Because my girls love chocolate so much I had to also make chocolate cupcakes, which I topped with cute toppers. Peace signs, rainbows, Be Kind and more topped these cupcakes to keep with the theme.

Balloon Arch

How freaking cute is this balloon arch with daisy balloons?! I got this off of Etsy from ChicBalloonBoutique and am so happy with how it turned out. Definitely a statement piece.

VW Van Photo Prop

This cute photo prop was a last minute creation inspired by Pinterest. Thanks to purchasing new patio furniture we had a large cardboard box and I already had paint and foil on hand!

Wand Favors

I am currently obsessed with these DIY felt wands. At first I was just going to make them for my girls but then I got this crazy idea to make them for all of the little guests. It was a bigger commitment than I realized but O got the job done! I made pink or white daisies for the girls and smiley faces for the boys. I added some sequins to make them fancy and yarn and tulle as well.

Sunglasses

These are probably one of my favorite DIYs and it was so easy! I bought these flower sunglasses on Amazon and the letter beads and daisy buttons from Hobby Lobby. I got glued them on and boil!

Goodie Bags

I had so much fun putting together these goodie bags! Here is what was included

Girls Bags

  • Daisy wand
  • Flower sunglasses
  • Hippie tattoos
  • Flower crown
  • Smiley face pencils

Boys Bags

  • Peace necklace
  • Smiley face wand
  • Smiley face slinky
  • Smiley face pencils

Everything was a hit and I had so much fun with this theme! Now to take a break from birthday parties for awhile.
