I love Easter for many reasons. First, being that the weather is usually starting to warm up. I also love all the activities that come along with Easter; like going to church, visiting the Easter Bunny, coloring Easter eggs, parades and egg hunts! I also really love candy.
But what I love most of all is putting together cute and fun Easter baskets for my kids. Now I am totally for giving your kids a little bit of candy in plastic eggs, but my goal is to minimize the sugar and stuff those baskets with mainly non-edibles.
If you are the opposite of me, Easter is about 10 days away and you haven’t even begun to think about Easter baskets (I’ve been planning mine for weeks and they are already done). Don’t worry – I’m here to help! I have compiled a couple of lists of things that you can toss into your infant or toddlers’ Easter basket. Stick with me and you will be bunny-ready in no time!
First and foremost, get your child a good Easter basket that can be reused every year. Even better if it’s personalized with their name! My mom and I made the kids baskets out of galvanized buckets from Hobby Lobby and personalized them with her Cricut. I think they turned out pretty cute.
Next, stock up on Easter grass and plastic eggs – I got mine at Target because, well, it was a good excuse to go to Target.
As far as candy goes for my toddlers; I will be putting some jelly beans, M&Ms and miniature Reese’s peanut butter cups in the eggs. And fruit snacks! For an infant, you could fill their plastic eggs with puffs or yogurt melts. You don’t have to do plastic eggs but they help fill the basket up and make it look super cute.
Now for the fun part! I put together the two graphics below so that you can save them to your phone or pin them for reference.
In addition to these lists, here is a bit more detail about some of my favorite items!
There are SO many to choose from, this year I am going with:
This carrot-shaped teether is perfect for your little rabbit!
Baby Fork & Spoon
I can’t wait to try these out with Hank! – Grabease Baby Utensils
I love this beaded, wooden, personalized pacifier clip on Etsy. It is especially nice for identical twins that no one can tell apart!
Um, why didn’t I invent these??
They are egg-shaped, and they make music…what’s not to love? Check them out.
Dauber Dawgs! Dot markers are so fun.
I found these adorable bunny cups at Target!
Another great Target find!
Have fun and in the words of Peter Rabbit, “hop to it” and get those baskets started! Happy Easter!!
