Summer Daisy Wreath

When I opened the Decocrated Summer 2021 Box the wood bee wall art really threw me for a loop. As cute as it was I really couldn’t see it fitting in anywhere in my home; so I set of off to the side for a few days as I added the remaining pieces throughout my house.

Then, as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed I saw an adorable DIY daisy wreath and a lightbulb turned on above my head…a daisy wreath with the wood bee as the focal point!

You could use any bee figurine, or omit it all together. Here is how I put this one together over the past few days.

  • Decocrated Wood Bee
  • 21” Foam Wreath Form
  • 19” Foam Wreath Form
  • Yellow/Gold Chunky Yarn
  • Cream Yarn
  • White Yarn
  • XL Pom-Pom Maker
  • Medium Pom-Pom Maker
  • Glue Gun
  • Hot Glue
  • Scissors

Instructions

Wrap the cream yarn around the 17” foam ring until completely covered.

Wrap the yellow yarn around the 19” foam ring until completely covered.

Glue the 17” wreath inside of the 19” wreath using hot glue.

Make several XL pom-poms using white yarn.

Make several medium pom-poms using white yarn.

Glue pom-poms around the outer edge of the yellow ring using hot glue.

Alternate pom-pom sizes as you work your way around.

Trim and fluff the pom-poms.

Glue the wood bee to the outside of the wreath using hot glue.

Place the bee at a slight angle when securing.

Hang on your door and enjoy this BEE-utiful spring/summer wreath!
