Valentine’s Day LOVE Garland

LOVE is in the air! And I loved the yarn letter ornaments that I made for Christmas so much I decided to make them again but with a Valentine’s Day twist. Below is everything you need to know to make this super cute and super easy LOVE garland.

SUPPLIES

  • Various colored, chunky yarn
  • Cardboard
  • Pompom maker
  • Glue gun
  • Hot glue sticks
  • Scissors or box cutter
  • String/twine
  • Stapler
  • Staples
  • Pencil

INSTRUCTIONS

Draw block letters and hearts into cardboard using your pencil. I freehanded mine and just did my best to keep them the same height, but you could totally use stencils.

Cut out each letter using your scissors or box cutter.

Place a line of hot glue onto the letter. Place yarn onto the hot glue.

Continue adding yarn to the cardboard with hot glue until the letter is completely covered. I started with the top of the letter and then went around the edges to finish it off.

Make some yarn pompoms with the same yarn. I added in some sparkly yarn, as well.

Staple the string to the back or your letters and shapes in the order you wish them to appear on the garland.

Tie a pompom in between each letter. And add a few to the ends.

Hang the garland on your mantle, the wall, a bannister, or wherever you choose. This would make a great backdrop for a Valentine’s Day photo or party, as well!
