If you love big, festive decor but don’t love the price tags that usually come with it, this DIY is for you. These giant tablecloth bows are bold, beautiful, and cost just $0.99 each to make. Yes—really.
They’re perfect for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Easter, the Fourth of July, or any holiday you want to decorate for.
What You’ll Need

- Plastic tablecloths (any color) – These are usually around $.99 at Hobby Lobby, Party City, etc.
- Double-sided tape
- Scissors
How to Make Giant Tablecloth Bows
Fold the tablecloth horizontally

Lay the tablecloth flat and fold it lengthwise until it forms a long, wide strip.
Create the bow shape

Find the center of the table cloth. Form two loops. Wrap the loops around each other and pull tightly to form a bow (like tying your shoes using the bunny ear method). Pull and adjust until the bow looks how you would like. It should be big and puffy! Use your scissor to trim the ends so they are even.

Hang your bows

Use double-sided tape to attach them to your wall, mirror, or mantle.
⚠️ Important tip: Be extra gentle when removing the tape. I accidentally pulled off a bit of paint and had to do some touch-ups—lesson learned!
Where to Hang Them

These bows make a statement almost anywhere:
- Above a mantle
- On a mirror
- On a blank wall that needs some holiday love
They’re lightweight, easy to hang, and immediately elevate a space.
Perfect for Every Holiday

One of my favorite things about this DIY is how versatile it is. Just swap out the colors:
- Pink & red for Valentine’s Day
- Red & green for Christmas
- Pastels for Easter
- Red, white & blue for the Fourth of July
- Black & gold for New Year’s Eve
- Any color for a fun addition to a birthday party
The possibilities are endless, and you can reuse the same idea all year long.
Final Thoughts
This is one of those DIYs that looks high-end but takes almost no time or money. If you’re craving big holiday impact without the big budget, giant tablecloth bows are the way to go. Bonus? You can pack the bows away in a tote and re-use them! You’d better believe I am going to have a stock of bows in every color.
Simple. Affordable. Festive. 🎀
