I’ve always wanted to make cake pops but don’t think I will make them often enough to buy those cake pop makers/molds (not even sure what they are called). So when I came across this super easy cake pop recipe that required minimal ingredients and supplies, I knew I had to try it. They were certainly not the prettiest cake pops I had ever seen but they tasted great! Here are the details.
Ingredients/Supplies

- 2 packages store-bought frosted sugar cookies
- 1 package cream cheese
- Melting chocolate
- Sprinkes
- Lollipop sticks
- Styrofoam blocks (I saved mine from some package deliveries)
- Stand mixer
- Microwave safe bowl
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
- Lollipop/treat wrappers
Instructions
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix together sugar cookies and cream cheese using a stand mixer until well blended.

Roll into balls and place on parchment paper.

Melt a small amount of chocolate in microwave safe bowl according to package instructions.
Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the chocolate and then insert the chocolate end into the balls. This will help keep the sticks in place.

Chill in refrigerator for around 20 minutes or so.
While chilling, melt the rest of the chocolate.

Remove pops from the fridge. Dip in chocolate until fully covered.

Stick the end of the lollipop stick into the styrofoam. This will hold the cake pops upright and allow them to dry.

Add sprinkles to the chocolate before it hardens.

Allow to completely harden.
Place a treat wrapper over each cake pop and secure with provided twist tie.

Gather cake pops into a bunch. Secure them with yarn or ribbon and add a cute tag!
