Is this cardstock heart wreath not the cutest? It is a bit different from what I have made in the past, as the only yarn it involves is the chunky yarn bow! I drew my inspiration from The House that Lars Built blog. She used ombre-type paper for her hearts though, and I used three different shades of pink. This wreath is currently hanging on my front door and it is very sturdy, which I appreciate.
Here is how you can make your own!
Supplies

- Paper heart printable stencil (I purchased from the blog owner but you could totally make your own)
- Card stock in various shades of pink
- Wire wreath form
- Pink crepe paper
- Chunky yarn
- Scissors
- Hot glue/glue gun
Instructions
Print and cut out your stencil.

Trace the shape onto the card stock and cut it out. Make as many as you need to fill your wreath form. I used around 30-35 I believe.

Once cut, fold and crease about an 1/4′ width of the shape (the long way; see the image). Then flip and fold the other way. Fold back and forth until the entire shape has folds. It is just like making and accordion or paper fan! You should have a folded stack when you are finished.

Fold the stack in half.

Glue the folded stack together in the middle using hot glue. You will have to pinch it together so it holds while the glue dries. Once dry, pull apart gently until it forms a heart shape.

Once you have made a ton of accordion hearts, wrap your wreath form completely with crepe paper.

Next, begin gluing the hearts to the crepe paper wreath using hot glue until it is filled to your liking.

Use the chunky yarn and tie it into a bow. Glue the bow to the bottom of the wreath.

Now you are done and have a beautiful wreath to add to your Valentine holiday decor! Be sure to tag me on Instagram (@the_patientmom) if you make one; I would love to see how it turns out!
