Valentine “Be Mine” Peace Wreath

Check out this Valentine’s Day rendition of everyone’s favorite mini peace wreath! I have a similar version of this wreath (green/blue yarn and says “Peace”) that I hank on the gold mirror on my living room mantle and decided that I absolutely needed to make a pink version (and maybe one for every holiday).

I have organized the supplies and steps for you in this blog so you can make one yourself!

Supplies

Instructions

Paint your wooden beads and letters with the pink acrylic paint and allow to fully dry. My wreath says “Be Mine” but some other fun V-Day sayings include “Lover”, “XOXO”, “Luv Ya”, “Cutie Pie”, “Sweetie” and “Kisses”. Just make sure whatever you choose only takes up about half of the wreath.

Tie the end of pink yarn tightly around the wreath form and then begin wrapping the yarn around the wreath until it is fully covered. Tie the other end around the wreath to secure the yarn once finished.

Cut a piece of twine and tie one end to the top of the wreath. Add pink beads until it fills the length of the diameter of the wreath. Tie the other end of the twine tightly to the opposite side of the wreath. Cut off any access twine.

Cut another piece of twine and tie the center of that piece of twine to the middle of the beaded piece so twine is hanging down on both sides. Like the “radius” of the circle. Add beads to both sides and then tie the ends to the wreath once filled. Pull tight. Then move your yarn around to cover the twine.

Using your hot glue gun, glue your letters to the bottom half of the wreath.I

Make a bow with your felting wool and tulle. Glue this to the top of the wreath.

Finally, i added a loop of yarn to the top back of the wreath for hanging.

Tada! I do hope you will make one of these for your own home and tag me on Instagram (www.instagram.com/the_patientmom) when you do.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Xoxox
