White Chocolate Pretzel Christmas Trees

Are you looking for something that is NOT a cookie, but still a sweet treat this holiday season? These White Chocolate Pretzel Christmas Trees are extremely cute and are a great addition to a holiday cookie or dessert board. I made my trees pink and green but you could use any color of your choice. Red and green for a traditional Christmas, shades of blues and white for winter trees, etc.

Even better, these are no bake and if you toss them in the freezer they are ready to go in less than 30 minutes so they are great for a last minute party. I usually have all of the supplies stocked in my pantry and baking cabinet, too!

Ingredients/Supplies

  • 1 bag mini pretzel sticks
  • Melting chocolate (colored or white and can add food coloring)
  • Holiday sprinkles
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave safe bowl
  • Spoon/spatula
  • Tray
  • Ziploc bags (sandwich or quart size)

Instructions

Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl according to instructions on package. Add food coloring if needed.

Lay a piece of parchment paper onto a tray. Gather pretzels & sprinkles.

Place pretzels on top of parchment paper.

Dump the melted chocolate into a Ziploc bag. Seal the bag and snip off a bit of one corner. Just enough to drizzle out the chocolate.

Squeeze chocolate onto a pretzel stick zig-zagging back and forth to create the shape of a tree. Be sure to leave a bit of pretzel uncovered at the bottom for the tree “trunk”.

Quickly add sprinkles to the chocolate before it hardens. Repeat this process until all of the pretzels are covered.

Allow the chocolate to completely harden. You can speed up the process by placing them in the freezer. Once hard enough, carefully peel off the parchment paper.

You can serve these right away or make ahead and store in the freezer. I usually make a big batch in early December to freeze and then take them out as needed to add to cookie trays, lunches, dessert boards, etc.
