Santa Hat Brownies

Santa Hat Brownies are an adorable holiday treat perfect for kids parties, work potlucks, dessert boards and more. Glitter-like sprinkles gives them an extra sparkle. You could also turn these into Christmas trees or reindeer by flipping around and adding pretzel antlers.

Be sure to have kids around because this recipe does cause a lot of brownie scraps. I try to give most of them to the kids so I don’t end up eating all the edges myself.

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (and ingredients needed to bake according to box instructions)
  • 2 cans vanilla frosting
  • Red food coloring
  • Sprinkles

Supplies

  • 9×13 pan or baking dish
  • Cooking spray
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife
  • Piping bag (or Ziploc bags and cut off one corner)
  • Cutting board

Instructions

Preheat oven to temperature indicated on brownie mix.

Line pan with parchment paper. Push down into corners and be sure the paper covers the sides. Spray with cooking spray.

Mix brownie batter, pour into lined pan and bake according to package.

When done baking, allow to fully cool. Once cool, flip pan over onto cutting board to allow brownie to come out of the pan. Remove parchment paper.

Cut the brownies into triangles and place on platter.

Mix on can frosting with red food coloring. Add to piping bag.

Add white frosting to another piping bag.

Pipe a line of white frosting onto the bottom of each brownie triangle.

Pipe red frosting onto the brownie going all the way to the top.

Pipe a white dot onto the very top of the brownie triangle.

Cover with sprinkles.

Aren’t they so cute? Almost too cute to eat….ALMOST.
