This DIY valentine is for all of you parents who don’t want to handout store bought valentines this year but also don’t have a ton of time (or patience) to make homemade valentines. And they are especially perfect for kiddos who love art! Follow the easy instructions below to put these together in no time.
Supplies
- Mini paint set palettes
- Box of candy (I’m using sweet tart hearts here)
- Yarn/ribbon
- Valentine tag
Instructions
Cut out heart tags (see free download at the end of this post) and punch a hole in the top of the tag.

Tie ribbon and yarn around the candy box, but don’t make the bow quiet yet! While you are doing this, have your child sign the back of the tags.

Thread the tag onto the candy box followed by the valentine tag and then tie a bow.

And that’s it! I can’t wait for Rowe to hand these out at school to her classmates. 😊
Fun activity!
