Peace Sign 4th of July Wreath

If you have been following along with me for awhile, you know I have a love for peace signs. I even have one tattooed on the back of my neck! So when it comes to crafts and home decor, if I can work in something with a peace sign you’d better believe I do!

This piece sign 4th of July wreath uses some sticks I found in my yard after a recent summer thunderstorm, a grapevine wreath and some patriotic ribbon. Follow the steps below to make your own.

INSTRUCTIONS

Break your sticks into lengths perfect for making a peace sign – one long enough to fit across the diameter of the wreath, and to shorter to form the “legs” of the peace sign. Glue the two short sticks to the large stick with hot glue.

Wrap twine around the center of the stick piece sign to cover the hot glue.

Glue the peace sign to the back of the grapevine wreath.

Start stringing ribbon and yarn through the vines at the bottom of the wreath.

Pull them through at the top to form a tight loop. I ended up poking a a safety pin through one of the ends of the ribbon to help guide it between the vines.

Repeat this interchanging ribbon patterns and yarn colors until you have ribbon/yarn running across about the bottom third of the wreath.

Leaving the ribbons in the center the longest, trim the ribbon on either side to form a sort of point, gradually making them shorter as you move toward the edges.

Glue a piece of yarn to the top back of the wreath in a loop so that you can hang it.

Hang the wreath on your front door, wall, porch, etc., grab a White Claw and enjoy your new masterpiece and the 4th of July!
